On Tuesday April 2, 2019 Fire District residents passed the Referendum question with 63.97% in favor. We would like to thank everyone for the “overwhelming” support of the work we do. The basis of the referendum is increase revenue and prevent further reductions in staffing and service. It seeks to increase the District's annual operating levy funding $104 for the owner of a $200,000 home. That is less than $8.67 per month or .29 cents per day based on this example. A sample of the ballot proposition is shown below: 

Note: The 20% indicated in the sample ballot can be very confusing to voters. The 20% only refers to the District's portion of your tax bill. The District currently receives less than .10 cents of your tax dollar. This .10 cents of your tax dollar is what is increasing 20%. With passage of the referendum .12 cents of your tax dollar will then go to the District instead of the current .10 cents.
